Light-up Night 2016

Caledonia's Light-up Night on November 24, 2016 was very successful with parents and children participating the Light-up Ceremony at Kinsmen Park. Katrina Oleniuk, "Ellie" (of Elf-on-the-shelf) was on stage at the Gazebo along with Rock 'n' Ray Michaels of The Grand, Caledonia's radio station. The Christmas lights on the new planted evergreen behind the gazebo following a count down came on at 7 pm, along with a large red "Merry Christmas", silhouettes and a star. The lights will be on until January, easily seen from Caithness St. W.

Then it was off to Santa's Village at the fairgrounds, stopping off at Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre for entertainment and a mystery guest at the jail cell. Santa Claus (Alex Komarniski) had about 200 children on his knee at Santa's Village. Vendors were there with activities and games for the children. Parents browsed vendors items that were there for them too.
