The 2019 Business Achievement Dinner was held Wed. February 27th at the Caledonia Lions Hall. 

The Business Achievement Awards celebrate everything that Caledonia has to offer. Annually, we recognize outstanding contributions to the community by businesses, organizations, and individuals, and celebrate growth in our local communities.

Awarded in 2018

IPam Aylan-Parker presented the Carol Ritchie Scotch Thistle award to Larry Fay (L) and Brian Hagan of Special Projects and on behalf of the Ron and Nancy Clark Foundation for Kinsmen Park and its appeal to tourism..

The Caledonia BIA received the Outstanding ganization award.

IThe Mayor's Community Business Service award was presented by Rachelle Timson (CIBC) and Mayor Ken Hewitt to Libro Credit Union's Scott Macleod. '

The Medicine Shoppe received the Business Achievement Award from the Bank of Montreal.

Sam Richardson received the Junior Citizen of the Year award from MPSS teacher Mrs. Krueger. 

Awarded in 2017

Carolyn Humenik as Olive the Other Reindeer for 20 years was presented by Barbara Martindale with a Special Recognition Award.  

Nancy Fuller (Centre) of Coach Pyramids was presented by BMO Bank of Montreal with the Business Achievement Award. 

Tourism Caledonia member Karen Cosier presented the Carol Ritchie Scotch Thistle Award to the Rotary Riverside Trail's Kay Spratt and Jean Michel Patten. 

Mayor Ken Hewitt and CIBC Rachelle Timson presented the Mayor's Business Community Service award to Air Bounce Inflatables owner Barb Zeigler (left).

Matthew Julseth was presented with the Junior Citizen Award by MPSS Principal Mr. MacDonald.

Scott MacLeod of Libro Credit Union presented Wendy Kerr with the Citizen of the Year award.

Ken Timson (posthumously) was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Scotiabank Manager Gary Nelson and Special Projects member Larry Fay presented the award to Ken's wife Patricia Timson. 

Awarded in 2016

The Carol Ritchie Scotch Thistle awarded to Lorna Greenlees, Joanne Mottershead and Ruth Lewis of Along the Grand Christmas Tour of Homes, Grace United Church 

The Outstanding Organization was awarded to St. Paul's Anglican Church l-r Nancy McBride, Rev. Cheryl Barker, Karen Cosier, Bob  and Gail Bell by Paula Adams of Grand River Home Hardware. 

The Mayor's Business Community Service award was presented by Mayor Ken Hewitt and Rachelle Timson of CIBC to A Day In My Closet's owner Bekki Shaw (centre, holding plaque)

Business Achievement Award was presented by Micheal Way of BMO Bank of Montreal to Barbara Wilson, Supervisor of the 50 year old Mary Poppins Co-operative Preschool 

Junior Citizen of the Year, Blair Crawford is awarded by McKinnon Park Secondary School Principal Dave Macdonald

Sam Bent was awarded Citizen of the Year by Scott Macleod of Libro Credit Union. 

Ted and Pam Aylan-Parker received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Scotiabank Manager Gary Nelson.

The Carol Ritchie Scotch Thistle awards to Along the Grand Christmas Tour of Homes is beautifully framed and appropriate for Grace United Church's Great Hall.

Awarded in 2014

Scott Macleod of Libro Credit Union presented the Citizen of the Year award to Craig Peters (R). 

The Lifetime Achievement Award went to Gord Roberts (L) from Scotiabank manager Gary Nelson.

Awarded in 2019
